Team Workouts  

AtBats floor plan was designed by baseball and softball coaches to handle a wide range of team workout configurations. Our extra wide, flexible nets system allows us to customize our training areas for your teams specific requirements. We have pre-configured specialized areas, such as our full-scale bullpen, automated batting practice cage and softball areas that allow teams to get more out of their workout. We can handle a complete off-season team workout schedule, or a one-time workout for a team rained out of practice.

We asked our staff to come up with some examples of how they would set-up for various workouts to get the most out of practice (and minimize player down time and expense). You are free to come up your own!

Softball Team Workout Examples

  • Hitting - Use two adjacent softball areas for a combination of drills and batting practice for 3 hitters. For example: divide area 5 into two hitting drill stations or short-toss areas (2 @ 27x15, using our portable top to bottom divider nets) and use area 6 for machine or live pitcher batting practice.

  • Pitchers/catchers Have 2 pitchers and catchers work out simultaneously in one of our large areas (bullpen area, area 3 or area 4) using our portable softball pitching mats.

  • Fielding - Use either one or both of areas 3 and 4 (well move the partition nets for a 36x70 turf field space) for a fielding workout for 2-4 players. Make it easier with one of our Jugs SB machines setup for ground balls.

  • Multi-use - Use one or more of our large areas (3 or 4) with one of our softball cages (5 or 6) for a range of uses: hitting stations, batting practice, fielding, pitching/catching.

Baseball Team Workout Examples

  • Hitting - Use two areas for a combination of station drills and batting practice for 3 hitters. For example: use the Iron Mike (area 1) for an automated, fast-moving batting practice. Divide area 3 into two short toss live pitch areas (2 @ 35x18) or hitting drill stations.

  • Pitchers/catchers Have two pitchers and catchers work out simultaneously in our full scale clay mounds bullpen.

  • Fielding - Use either one or both of areas 3 and 4 (well move the partition nets for a 36x70 turf field space) for a fielding workout for 2-4 players. Make it easier with one of our Jugs BB machines setup for ground balls.

  • Multi-use - Use one or more of our large areas (3 or 4) with the Iron Mike (area 1) for a range of uses: hitting stations, batting practice, fielding, pitching/catching.
